COURTING VOTERS in Iowa and New Hampshire, last August Sen. Hillary Clinton signed a pledge not to “campaign or participate” in the Michigan or Florida Democratic primaries. She participated in both primaries and is campaigning in Florida. Which proves, again, that Hillary Clinton is a liar.
Clinton kept her name on the Michigan ballot when others removed theirs, she campaigned this past weekend in Florida, and she is pushing to seat Michigan and Florida delegates at the Democratic National Convention. The party stripped those states of delegates as punishment for moving up their primary dates.
“I will try to persuade my delegates to seat the delegates from Michigan and Florida,” Clinton said last week, after the New Hampshire primaries and Iowa caucuses were safely over.
Clinton coldly and knowingly lied to New Hampshire and Iowa. Her promise was not a vague statement. It was a signed pledge with a clear and unequivocal meaning.
She signed it thinking that keeping the other candidates out of Michigan and Florida was to her advantage, but knowing she would break it if that proved beneficial later on. It did, and she did.
New Hampshire voters, you were played for suckers.
Hillary and Bill, up against a genuine competitor who is not letting them just walk away with the nomination, will do and say anything whatsoever to get ahead.

This is no surprise. Who would expect The Clintons to play by the rules? If you support this type of dishonesty, The Clintons are your candidate. If you support ethics and the politics of hope, Obama is the only choice.
NY voters should know the bitch for what she is. Power Hungry, say/do anything to aquire and retain power. This kind of manipulation of the voters hasn’t been seen since Germany of the early 30’s.
Perhaps she realizes that tomorrow is the 75th anniversary of the take-over of the Weimar Republic of Germany by the National Socialists.
And this is just a salute by the Clintons to a fellow megalomaniac, A Delusion’ de Grandeur if you will.
Forget Hillary for a second. She’s an awful choice to be president but it has nothing to do with campaigning in Florida.
My question is,why are the Democrats refusing to campaign in a state they desperately need to win in November and has played a pivotal role in determining the last two elections? It’s a slap in the face to Democrats in the state and it’s a shame a pledge to actively not try and court the votes of American citizens was ever signed by any candidate. Political stunts like this where the party is more concerned with trying to preserve a very broken primary system than it is ensuring it’s members aren’t disenfranchised. We already barely get to choose between a few lousy candidates, now voters in Florida don’t even have the chance to choose from more than 2 of them.
Stuff like this is why I could never bring myself to register as a Democrat let alone vote for one. They care more about political posturing and playing the game than they do putting forth a vision or empowering people. I’d rather throw my vote away on Ralph Nader and have a clear conscience about it than throw my vote away on a party that doesn’t care enough about it’s members to give them a voice.

Jon–The National Dem. Party told the FL. Dem Party that if they moved up their primary date, the Party would not seat their delegates at the Convention. The FL Dem. Party moved it up anyway.
No fears getting this ruling changed by Camp Clinton. Who’s the Chairman of the Democratic Party now? Used to be GRRRRAH Howard Dean, but I think last time I saw him talking it was the Clinton’s bestest Buddy, Terry McAwful. Like he won’t change a ruling to help the Clintons? RIGHT.
As with many other things, you have it backward. McAuliffe was DNC Chair from 2001-2005; Howard Dean – whom you libeled on this site back in the day – is DNC chair now.

it was beyond stupid of the democrats to try to punish the people of florida and michigan for not kowtowing to the whims of the national party politbureau. as someone noted above, both states are must wins for the dems in november.

Hillary Clinton showed what she is made of when she deliberately or on purpose allowed Bill Clinton to chase away her African American Supporters in South Carolina. That was Bill’s defining moment; and also the moment when African Americans realized that they had been hoodwinked, bamboozled, sold up the river or what ever the hell you want to call it. The smirk on Clinton’s face when he compared Obama’s very credible campaign to Jessie Jackson’s grandstanding venture was disrespectful, vindictive and mean spirited. Can you imagine him as a first lady-man? He is Hillary Clinton’s Albatross for sure.
Hillary is a Big Fat Liar, a manipulator, and a cheat. She signed the DNC agreement on Michigan, and Florida, but now that she’s a Big Fat Loser, she is cheating. There isn’t any other justification. She and Bill are the epitome of the Ugly American. Why anyone believes in her is beyond me. Maybe this is a classic case of good vs evil. Evil sides with Hillary. Good sides with everyone else.
