    Just so I’m clear…

Dragging out YouTube clips of lunatic pastors who support Obama = shameful smear tactic.

Dragging out YouTube clips of lunatic old women who support Clinton = completely okay.

You’re better than the constant mudsligging Alan and really, if all you Obama bloggers were smart, you wouldn’t bother giving Hillary all this attention when the guy you really need to be shitting on is McCain.

  2. libhomo June 1, 2008 at 11:47 am #

It is so important for people to call the Clinton campaign and demand that she condemn these sickeningly racist comments.

@Splett – Where did I say the YouTube clip of Wright was a shameful smear tactic?

@indabuff – What, exactly, negative would your highness like me to post on my site? I don’t go around telling you what to post on yours, do I?

  5. mike hudson June 1, 2008 at 3:37 pm #

quite correct pundit. i believe rev. michael pfleger made the same point recently in a sermon at obama’s church.

  6. mike hudson June 1, 2008 at 3:39 pm #

THIS JUST IN….CUBAN STRONGMAN RAUL CASTRO, WHO LAST WEEK THREW HIS SUPPORT TO BARAK OBAMA, JUST RELEASED A STATEMENT STRONGLY CONDEMNING THIS WOMAN, WHOEVER SHE IS. THEY CARRIED IT LIVE ON AL JAZEERA.

  7. indabuff June 1, 2008 at 3:58 pm #

    @BuffaloPundit

Nope you don’t & thank Rod for that…plus…I wasn’t telling you you should post anything on your site about Obama or his supporters.

  8. mike hudson June 1, 2008 at 5:07 pm #

not that pundit’s interested, but clinton just got done beating obama like a rug in puerto rico.

  9. Haterade June 1, 2008 at 5:15 pm #

A “rug” , Hudson ? Is that some sort of racist code ? You bigoted bastard !

  10. mike hudson June 1, 2008 at 7:13 pm #

    now that’s funny, haterade!

  11. mike hudson June 1, 2008 at 7:24 pm #

seriously, this whole thing has gotten ridiculous. chris and alan act as though their man is the underdog, when he has been the chosen one since iowa. HE WON GUYS….WHY ARE YOU SO ANGRY?

unfortunately they failed to recognize that hillary took western new york, and indeed new york state, by wide margins. in niagara country it was just a fraction under 70 percent, according to the board of elections.

by stridently attacking clinton supporters, many of whom had been loyal readers and commentators on wnymedia sites, they have clearly lost viewers and relevance. this also explains the overwhelmingly negative response they get whenever the post racist, sexist, classist tripe like that above.

yes alan. it is YOUR site. it’s easy to tell because is any real media company owned it they’d have pulled the plug on this ridiculously one-sided and venomous shill factory quite awhile ago.

  12. heavyweight June 1, 2008 at 9:14 pm #

Its funny because as Mike said, he won. Hillary’s supporters are pathetic and clinging to the outdated old school political bullshit of yesteryear.

  13. STEEL June 1, 2008 at 10:42 pm #

Funny how defensive the Hillary camp gets when it is shown the company it keeps.

Who is angry? Seriously. You are correct, though. She has lost. And when people like Mrs. Christian get over their temper tantrums, we can all get on to the more important business of winning the general election.

And for the love of Christ, could no one please ask Clinton or anyone to comment on that lady.

  15. Chris Smith June 1, 2008 at 11:36 pm #

Mike, I’m not angry. Obama did win, so thanks for pointing that out. By the end of the week, he’ll have enough pledged and super delegates to secure the nomination. Will Hillary back down when that happens? Do you think she should?

Also, this tired line you keep trotting out about Hillary winning New York and other large states is a bit misguided. Of course she won WNY and NY as a whole, it’s her “home state”. Every elected official of note was on her bandwagon and work on her behalf. With that comes the money and groups who support those local leaders. The “large” states that she won which you feel give her credibility as a candidate in the general election will mostly go for Obama. You really think that CA, NY, NJ, MA are really in play?

If Hillary didn’t win those states in the primary, there would have been some major malfunction. She spent the better part of eight years working those state party machines and locals with campaign support, fundraising trips, and cashing in chits from her husband’s Presidency. She had the endorsements and explicit support of the statewide parties in the Democratic swing states of PA, OH, MI. You don’t think that makes a difference in a primary election? Who do you think organizes locals to go door to door on canvassing trips, raises money, makes the calls?

Sure, Obama built organizations in those states, but he wasn’t able to lean on the state party machine for GOTV efforts and precinct management. I haven’t found one of those statewide party bosses who has said they wouldn’t work their ass off for Obama in the general. The big state argument is bunk, IMO.

Hillary is pursuing the same electoral strategy that failed the Democrats in 2000 and 2004. Win the following states: WA, OR, CA, MI, MN, WI, IL, and the entire Northeast. If those states are won, all a Democrat needs to do is win Ohio or Florida and they win the election.

How has that worked out for the Dems the past couple of years? Obama is competitive in the Mountain West states, Midwest , Virginia, and other previously red states. His strategy mirrors Howard Dean’s 50 state strategy that was put forth upon his taking control of the party. Why cede 3/4 of the country to the Republicans? One good thing out of this extended primary is that Obama has been forced to build coalitions and organizations in all 50 states which will only help in November.

  16. mike hudson June 2, 2008 at 12:48 am #

chris…the only reason i mentioned new york and western new york in particular is that the constant drumbeat (no racism intended) by obama’s supporters that clinton’s supporters are all a bunch of brain dead bigots can only serve to alienate the great majority of western new yorkers who voted for her, and thus turn people off to your site.

msnbc gets away with the three-hour gregory-matthews-olbermann elect obama commercial every night for the same reason fox news got away with asserting hillary was involved in the “murder” of vince foster during the clinton administration — it is broadcast nationwide and only needs to have between 750,000 and 2 million viewers to be considered successful.

since there are 300 million people in the country, even the most slanted and virulent political commentary can attract those kinds of numbers (see bill o’reilly who, much to olbermann’s dismay, has held the #1 spot on cable news for many years now.)

my comment had nothing to do with our junior senator winning the big states although, of course, she did.

in answer to your question, i’ll actually be a bit surprised if she quits this week, which everyone on tv thinks she will. do i think she should? no. it’s a free country and she can do whatever she wants, as far as i’m concerned.

my fondest wish, however, is that obama does get elected president. the act of pulling all u.s. combat troops out of iraq in 16 months, as he’s repeatedly vowed to do, will either represent a miracle comparable to jesus raising lazarus from the dead or the worst military disaster this country has seen since the korean war.

there’s going to be plenty of crow to go around should that occur, or if obama gets in and decides he couldn’t do what he said he was going to do as a candidate.

Will Hillary back down when that happens?

I doubt it. The Ranting Priest aside, she DOES feel entitled. And I believe she WON’T quit. The Clinton Bag of Tricks isn’t empty yet.

Obama’s gonna get killed in the General–Just like Every liberal who’s run since McGovern. But go ahead and root for the inexperienced empty suit who was formerly known as Barry O., if it makes ya feel better.

Hey Hank…how did those 2006 midterm Senate and House races go for ya?

    EMS
You should ask yourself– Next time you fill up with gas, you might ask yourself about Pelosi’s “PLAN TO REDUCE GAS PRICES” that she said the Democrat Majority would pass. I don’t think the plan’s ink has hit paper yet.

Congress now has the LOWEST APPROVAL rating of any Congress EVER, and lower than the President’s.

So how’s that working for YOU???

  20. EMS June 4, 2008 at 1:58 pm #

    Hank:

When I fill up with gas, I’m more likely to focus on the 6 years the President and the Republican-majority Congress were allowed to hand the keys to the kingdom to their Big Oil cronies and why over 4,000 of our Armed Forces and untold millions of Iraqis have died for my privilege of paying almost $4 per gallon.

The DEMOCRATIC (not “Democrat”) 110th Congress is only in the beginning of its second session, having passed the Energy Independence and Security Act in 2007. I look forward to the gas price reduction legislation being introduced, but the Democratic majority has had to contend with the Republican minority blocking bills and procedures in a yearlong temper tantrum that the voters threw their asses out of power. If a bill somehow makes it out of the House, the Democrats don’t have enough votes in the Senate to override Senate Republicans’ constant efforts to obstruct and filibuster this legislation.

Congress has a low approval rating because, despite the Democrats’ best efforts, meaningful legislation is either dying on the vine in Congress due to Republican obstruction or under the veto pen of George Bush. Both of those obstacles should be removed in November, when a Democratic president will be sent to Washington with filibuster-proof majorities in both houses.
