If we could get a hold of a few of these we could pay off our national debt

hey why no story on how obama fell 9 points in the polls since he got back from his rock star fanasy camp in germany and how he is this morning DEAD EVEN at 44 percent with creaky gop senior citizen john mccain? shouldn’t obama’s obvious superiorty to any living human being put him at least a fraction of percentage point ahead?

given that everybody in the country thinks america is on the wrong course, and that democrats are on track to make big gains in the house and the senate, and everybody just fucking hates the republicans, it’s looking as though hopes and dreams of what i don’t know just aren’t enough any more.

hillary would have been beating mccain in the double-digits at this point, just three months before the election. now ohio, pennsylvania, michigan, west virginia and florida, all solidly in the democratic camp during the primaries, are toss ups.

and the fact that he’ll get 98 percent of the black vote won’t help him much in places like alaska and utah, where you guys made such a big deal of him winning those silly caucuses they had.

and today’s rasmussen daily tracking poll actually has mccain ahead!

as he showed in the primaries, obama just doesn’t know how to close a deal…

National polling numbers don’t matter a lick.

Look at the frontpage of (average of all polls) which lays out the states by electoral votes and who has the lead in those states.

As it stands today, Obama would win over 310 electoral votes if you count the states in which he either has a solid lead or a small lead. Hillary’s people were often focused on the wrong polling numbers to their detriment. What matters is the electoral votes and Obama is doing quite well.

I’d also like to note for the record that Obama has a comfortable lead in the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan…states which Hudson claimed Obama could not win.

Also, Obama leads amongst “white working class” voters, again, contrary to what many here said.

why do the polling numbers only matter around here when they show obama to be far ahead?

  6. mike hudson August 4, 2008 at 6:51 pm #

so now people who make less than $27,000 a year are the “working class”? that’s absurd. a family of three living on an income of $27,000 a year would qualify for food stamps, adc etc.

one poll says obama lost 9 percentage points since standing in front of a big dick-like piece of architecture in berlin and addressing thousands of people who can’t vote for him because they’re german.

another poll shows him actually trailing mccain.

but the odious olbermann leads tonight, and you choose to trumpet, a poll of welfare recipients that shows obama with a lead among welfare recipients.

    that’s funny. that’s goddamn funny.
