Chutzpah at McKinley

20 Aug

Principal Crystal Barton gets this year’s award for sheer chutzpah.

After being accused of being like the worst school administrator, ever, she has the gumption to demand the removal of the school board members who demanded that Barton be held accountable for her failure.

Methinks that it is she who should be removed, not demanding others’ removal.

for those not familiar with the sisterhood and the buffalo schools: this is standard operating procedure. they have a rogue superitnedent in their corner not to mention a block of sisters on the board. outsiders find their behavior appalling but this is what is running the bps into the ground. buffalo is losing great, young teachers because of their bullying behavior. the new principal at lafayette is fatima morrell. she was driven out of school 31 and was sent to mckinley with barton. how’s that for a pair? this is her reward for sticking by barton. watch for the exodus of teachers because of this.
as for her call for hernandez’ head, you can bet that is her payback to williams for keeping her. as carl said: “you need to go.”

Yeah as anyone familiar with the backwoods ways of BPS will tell you things are in full procedural mode. Fatima Morrel is also the one who in Barton’s absence slapped Jayvonnah Kincannon with that excessive suspension. Her punishment ? A promotion to Principal ! The system is run by a thug and his girls who throw themselves on grenades for him and do his bidding at every turn. Barton was going to slap him with sexual harassment but has since learned it’s worth it in the long run to put up with his remarks. Barton is such a classless clod she doesn’t have the sense to shut up until she can retire she has to try to go after Ralph Hernandez for pointing out the obvious : that she should have been disciplined and possibly dismissed not coddled. Would she let a student offender off as easily as she was let off — she of the iron fist who wants to show how in control she is ? Please. The only hope for BPS is some poor city without the internet where Williams has cronies will “steal” him away from us to use Sandy Bleach’s phrase. Oh and when these lawsuits start rolling in and a broke district goes even broker, The parents of the Olmstead boy, Jayvonnah Kincannon , Michelle Stiles, even James Daye the serial philanderer as Paladino called him. These suits might just tip the scales of accountability who knows ?

Nothing to see here. Move along folks.

What people should know about “Know it all” is that s/he has called for white people to take over BPS on other blogs and wraps all of his/her arguments in racial slurs and fake ebonic language. No surprise that Paladino, an open RACIST, is quoted in blogs on this topic.

Just like in the old South, blacks are targeted, when the real process clears their names, the racist rant hounds them in the street. Know it all and friends, keep your opinions to your self or at least confine them to your Arian Nation websites. We know who you really are, so go back to your skinhead world and suck on it.

It is not always a race issue. The Teachers in NYS operate with no threat of reprisal other than child abuse (and then not all the time). There is no person or entity in NY that can demand ANY accountability for a teacher with tenure. The pay raises are a right rather than a privilege and tenure guarantees mediocrity. The principals are worse. Unfortunately we cannot fix it because the unions (sic) will claim we are against the children. The unions and most teachers don’t give a damn about the children but only about their money. The cute surprise here is that the pensions promised are so massively underfunded NY State does not have the taxing authority to make it up. SURPRISE hopeful pensioneers!!!!

Yeah MikeeL you nailed it most teachers only care about money, not like doctors who care only about patients or guys with GED’s pushing buttons on a press at Ford in Hamburg making more than 4 yr degree nurses. You have it ll figured out and because you generalized it it must e true. Want to tell us which teacher was mean to you and when you will ever get over it ? I want you to walk into my class of urban emotionally disturbed teen agers and spend a day in charge doing what i have to do for what I make then tell me again how all I care about is money. Bullshit buddy. You’re jealous, of what I can’t tell for sure, but you are and you think all of your generalizations against teachers are original and insightful They’re not, they’re dull, unimaginative and the product of some private axe you will never grind but will keep on trying to blame teachers for whatever the hell it is. You didn’t even address the true nature of this post you just gave your little I hate teachers and so should you speech. It’s old, tired boring and bullshit.

Rastamick61. Sounds like you are having a ball at your profession! I happen to like what I do. For your info I had several inspirational teachers, some of whom I still stay in contact. They also happened to do what they do for the lover of it: they were parochial school teachers who didn’t get face lifts and tummy tucks sucking at the public tit. I do believe teachers are fairly paid. I also believe that the pensions are absurd, tenure is a pathway to mediocrity and most public school teachers earn what they make (sans the perks).

Did Sandy beach give you the tummy tucks line I love how you want to ignore the fact that the health riders were negotiated as part of a pay package, not lavished on pampered teachers who demanded them. Someone on the management side agreed to those perks and btw come to any faculty room and show me the physiques in there who’ve been tucked or lipo’d, it aint happening brother ! The public tit is the same one that pays Halliburton, Blackwater, ResulTech @44, an awful lot more than it gives any teacher. Have you writtne to W Bush to register your ire with that too or do you take it all out on teachers because you perceive them to be an easier target ? Do you also think I don’t pay taxes that go into that tit’s ducts because I do. I also send 3 kids to a Catholic School and one to a public school for my own reasons and I’ve seen some great teachers and some who should have hit the road a while ago. Funny, my wife works with a few doctors who spend the whole night talking about buying gold and guns and making patients wait but I know you wouldn’t dare to address them as greedy or overpampered. Your arguments are still weak and your public tit concept is lame, I’m taking nothing from your damned pocket that I haven’t paid for from my own.

and p.s. I am happy with my job, happy enough to keep doing it and wondering why so many experts like yourself try to demean it and act as if anyone can do it. I guarantee you wouldn’t make it till lunchtime.
