    WTF?

I’m a proud left-winger, and I love the Kennedy mystique. But damn… if she thinks she doesn’t have to even do a two-minute Q&A on the steps while she’s in town, forget her. I’m really sorry if we keep getting in her way while she’s trying to do IMPORTANT THINGS. I just had this strange idea that public officials should be, you know, accessible…

    She is the one.

    Dear Mr. Dave A.,

The mayor and I have tremendous respect for Ms. Kennedy. We had nothing to do with her swift departure from City Hall today. In fact, we were thinking of a way to help her announce her senatorial candidacy right out in front of our offices this afternoon, but, like you said, she was not accessible. Her bad. Tune in to the City Stat Channel for more.

    Remember, I am watching you.

    Circle of trust………

Here’s the one I would like to hear:
“How do you hope to be accountable to the people of New York, if you don’t feel the need to answer questions posed by NY newsmedia?”

How dare she think she is entitled to this position, for no reason that she has yet made public (other than her name, of course). At least Hilary was ELECTED.

I beginning to wonder what type of pressure the President Elect is putting on Paterson to select CKS…she obviously believes in the whole “Change” mantra…Obama thought enough of her to bring her on board in helping select his VP…Paterson, considering the shape the state is in can’t afford to not to go along with Obama’s wishes if he is going to look to Washington for help down the road…in a way it all makes perfect sense…you have to pay to play.

People people, a little perspective here: America’s chosen will always have everything served to them on a silver platter (Try the tripe-cauliflower soufflĂ© Caroline, dear. It’s absolutely D!). The key question is whether or not they develop a taste for it and come back for seconds.

Can you guys get the subtle point here?

Byron Brown wants that seat. It’s out of deference to what is happening here politically. She isn’t going to come in like gangbusters. THAT would be downright rude. She’s stroking the Mayor’s very very very large ego.

Doesn’t anyone remember the Kennedy connection to Western NY? It was OUR Chairman who was the FIRST in the nation to endorse her father for President. A Catholic for President? Anyone remember the significance? It was HUGE. She knows of WNY and understands its importance in her family’s success. Just because she hasn’t been here recently doesn’t mean she’s oblivious to us.

I think her “fame” and the clout/connections that comes with it would serve NY State well. I think that she is altruistic and would work for all of NY State.

Listen, Brian Higgins is a great guy and maybe one day he’ll be a great Senator. But I think NY is in such a mess, we need someone with more “pull.”

I guess the Times exhausted all its scrutineering capacity going through Sarah Palin’s dumpster in Wasilla–they have nothing left in the tank to ask about Princess Caroline’s fitness for the job.
