The Syaed Ali saga gets weirder and weirder every day.

Again, permit me to reiterate that, if what he says happened to him the way he says it happened to him on November 7, 2008, then the perpetrators should be held civilly and criminally responsible. He isn’t accused of any crime, hasn’t been accused or charged with any crime, and he was allegedly mistreated and had his belongings improperly confiscated under color of law, pursuant to a search warrant of questionable legality.

But Ali hasn’t only been bringing blockbuster allegations against the Brown Administration and law enforcement. He’s also sort of dopey.

When he’s not busy telling Glenn Gramigna to write that I must have written the offending Byron-is-gay emails, he’s eagerly arguing with Chris and me over at Artvoice. Someone’s been calling Geek and laying the Sopranos-lite shtick on pretty thick. At one point, one of the commenters at this Artvoice thread republished an email from Marc Odien that only a small handful of local media types would have seen. That tells me that whoever was arguing with us there is the author of the emails in question, or sitting next to that person.

So, Chris and I thought we’d take a cue from the Buffalo Ruse and throw some levity into the whole situation, because Buffalo tends to get too serious when arguing over anything remotely political. You may remember that Ali has made very grandiose claims about the success, size, and scope of his business, yet we found that much of his marketing information is cribbed verbatim from other companies’ sites.

So, as a variation on the SAIL-IT theme, I present to you the website for the galactically hugest and bestest IT company, ever. FAIL-IT is open for business!

You’ve become part of this story. Your posts on the matter are sounding more and more like the minute pettiness of a personal fued.

    That’s probably because Ali’s a dick

This has become far more interesting than the initial e-mails ever were. I followed the links to all this stupid stuff. The Artvoice Daily posts from jazzy, phatom, and buffalobullI were all so similar. I guess it is true that great minds think alike, particularly when they seem to be the same guy.

Also love the new FAIL-IT website. I did note one glaring mistake in the “compare” section; FAIL-IT would indeed be delightful with a cracker and a glass of zinfandel.

    Excellent entertainmant , bathroom writers.

Those WNY First emails were always “reply all” and distributed widely, so I don’t see possession of the Odien response as proving much. I mean, it’s email; coulda been forwarded to hundreds. In fact, my impression was that they wanted as many as possible to see not just the silly conversations, but also the responses.

Having said that, I do find this fascinating and hope you guys can get it to drag on for a few more months, at least.

I like how Ali’s accusations are believable when they are against Byron Brown, but absurd when they are against you guys. I think everything he says is horsesh*t.
