About That

2 Oct

Someone going to appoint a special prosecutor for this, or what? The accused always heap scorn and derision on the whistleblower, but even the appearance of impropriety should be avoided given these allegations, dontcha think?

Correct me if I am wrong here. I believe I read in one of the Buffalo News articles that either Sedita or Clark was insisting on the need for a referral from some other agency, department or board. However, the DA has the duty to prosecute all crimes that occurred within his or her county and the only referral I know of that is legally required is a referral from a state agency, department or board to the AG in order for the AG to invoke his or her limited prosecutorial powers under the Executive Law. Seems like someone is looking to pass the buck!

The AG should have a look, I think.

The bigger concern, for me, is that the Erie County District Attorney looks like he’s dropped the ball. By my count that’s twice that a politically well-connected individual has received a pass in the less than one year since Mr. Sedita has been in office, and I hate that.

why should anyone appoint a special prosecutor about a stupid cartoon? even though it advocates stripping steve pigeon of his first amendment rights by not letting him donate money, i think the cartoonists own first amendment rights allow him to say whatever he wants.

never before has a major metro daily wasted so much ink — in 2007, last year and now this year — in pursuit of an alleged misdemeanor committer. it’s comical. and if sacha has wasted the past three years as a highly paid (with your tax dollars) assistant district attorney pursuing his “obsession” against steve pigeon — as both his boss and former boss allege — he ought to be fired, not merely suspended.

In other news, Hudon currently has Pigeon’s balls in his mouth.

Seems to me that appointing a special prosecutor does the most for clearing (or not clearing, for that matter) Pigeon, Sedita, Clark and the DA’s Office.

The question becomes will Frank III stand up to people close to him, who have been huge Pigeon fans and are looking for political favors? I will wait patiently for the Illuzi Letter to call for the special prosecutor, as it is in his interest to help clear his favorite advertiser’s name…and isn’t that what fair and unbiased “journalists” do?

Oh, one other thing…what does Steve Pigeon actually DO to ‘earn’ $150,000.00 per year from the State Senate? Isn’t this the type of job Tom Golisano was talking about when he was campaigning against do-nothing no-good career politicians and the high taxes that their salaries cause?

It’s getting to the point where the feds need to come in and look at all of this. The tangled web of people in power involved in this locally means it will never get the look it should.
Thinks of this: 1) Delano makes Clark look like a fool. 2) Delano runs for Senate. 3) Pigeon, no fan of Stachowski over the years suddenly pumps huge dollars into that race throug Responsible New York. 4) Delano loses. 5) Clark lets Pigeon skate free. Now, I actually don’t believe all of those things are direct cause/effect. But when stuff gets this messy, when everything is so intertwined and people are playing fast and loose with campaign rules, that’s what happens.

hey alan…paid political advertisements? it’s a slippery slope pal. sat with some attorneys this afternoon and voiced the opinion that it would be easier to prove a conspiracy between bob mccarthy, mike beebe, geoff kelly and yourself to destroy the reputation of steve pigeon (employing the civil rico statute) than it would be to prove any kind of a case against pigeon. i mean, it’s all there, malice aforethought etc.

last year it was battaglia this year it’s sacha. these people keep getting ground under the wheels of justice, losing their jobs and shit and you all just dance to the next election and the next paranoid-obsessive.

the niagara falls reporter is in its tenth year of publication. we’re doing fine. if the people who buy advertising in a publication “control” the publication, i guess that the pimps and mobsters who run the region’s massage parlors, escort services and phone sex lines control artvoice, correct?

    grow up.

I just played the Mike Hudson Internets Drinking Game on this thread. I picked 3 completely randomly (big mistake).

    Mike Hudson had the 3rd 9th and 12th comment…

3 drinks for the 3rd comment, doubled because he fellates Steve Pigeon, tripled because he used no capital letters, and tripled again because he had the comment immediately following, 54 drinks!

9th comment, 3 drinks tripled because he failed to use a capital letters, tripled again because he comment again immediately after, 27 drinks!

12th comment, 3 drinks tripled because Hudson bragged about how great the NF Reporter is, 9 drinks!

1 thread 90 drinks! This is a dangerous game
