      1. Don’t scare kids with the notion that Santa’s going to die in a car accident; and 2. as Ethan said, Santa doesn’t drive or walk. He flies. With reindeer.

    The fail (as I see it) is that Sheriff Howard is spending time holding a press conference to laud himself for an anti-DWI billboard with his name all over it when his department is collapsing around him due to his and his management team’s failures. He is getting sued by the state and feds, is being sued by prisoners and their families, and is disciplining and moving deputies and correction officers around due to problems and failures, etc. and he is holding a presser to show a billboard about DWI. BP, am I accurately summarizing?
