Holding “KILL” is like Teabagger Christmas.

You stay classy, Chris Lee (NY-26).

    Funny and ironic…

Did you hear grandpa Beach today on the radio? He really needs to be officially annointed Grand Imperial Wizard of the Sour Grapes Society. He’s earned it! What a bitter, angry f#%k.

even if you were planning on playing to the crowd, why, why would you hold up a homemade sign reading ‘kill’?

i can picture a campaign commercial now: camera pans up the B&W still. voice over: “Chris Lee tried to allow insurance companies to deny coverage to kids with pre-existing conditions. Chris Lee supported arbitrary caps on insurance coverage. Chris Lee wanted your kids to get kick off your insurance.”

camera stops on ‘kill’ sign, and slowly focuses in.

voice over: “Chris Lee, a sure sign of what he believes”

what staffer told him to go and walk into that?

Al L hits the nail on the head. It’s like Maziarz giving a speech in front of a “Failure” banner. Only worse, because people actually die without health insurance.

Hey, that’s pretty good Al. I don’t think Chris Lee has been that bad honestly.

im not so much critiquing his stance on the bill, or even the Congressman’s performance – its just a very obvious misstep. wasnt there even a high school intern in his office that knew better?

Yeah. The 97 rock morning bunch thanked Chris Lee for going to Washington and actually doing his job. Then Lee said, yeah I got home around 1 am last night. . .  this is my fourth show this morning, pretty tired. Yeah Chris Lee must be exhausted from all of the heavy lifting he and his bros in congress did on the healthcare bill.

“Kill” is meaningless without “the bill”. Nice try though.

    • al l March 23, 2010 at 8:34 am #

since when do campaign ads account for context?

      • Mike in WNY March 23, 2010 at 10:13 am #

That does not justify purposely distorting the meaning of a sign.

you misunderstand me. i am not advocating misusing anything.

im just bemused and slightly frightened that any political figure, let alone a sitting Congressman, would place himself in such a position. its minor league. its amateur. its dumb. dumb, dumb, dumb.

you shouldnt need to have decades as a political operative to see that.
