Because Welfare Recipients Must Be Punished

8 Aug

Carl Paladino is New York’s most pro-penal-work-camp gubernatorial candidate.

Carl Paladino has shifted from interesting to disgusting to relentless to disturbing in record time.

Great. New York needs a governor. He wants to give us Buford Pusser.

Oh, the comedy keeps on coming. Now, the only racist e-mail, horse-porn lover in the Guv race has weighed in on the Cordoba Initiative in lower Manhattan….only, he’s not just opposed, he will (grudgingly) use the the awesome power of the state government he hates so much and whisk that Mooslim House of Terra’ism and Weird Prayers away faster than you can say “eminent domain”

Like Tom said, wouldn’t this be a “big government land grab over private entities” that would strike the blackest of fear into the heart of a Tea Partier?

I love that the Paladino campaign thought that his disastrous appearance on MSNBC was worthy of inclusion on his campaign website. To call his campaign advisers clowns and idiots would be an insult to the McCain-Palin ’08 team.

Postures like Paladino’s are quite common in the men’s barroom and locker room conversations. As a candidate for public office he just continues to amaze me that he must have been so isolated from public discourse that he fails to realize his moronic announcements are not accepted positions in the commons.

So far he has demonstrated tasteless racism, ignorance of sexist mores, an inability to work within any political discipline other than his whim of the day and now with the Cordoba pronouncements shows a tendency  to favor dictatorial powers of over the legislative process.

The wealthy wanabees like Colisano, Chris Collins and now Paladino do not believe in the slow process that has been our government for over 200 years. It may not be the best but it is the best we got and we don’t need fumbling autocratic technocrats to correct it.
