Over the past few weeks, Republican gubernatorial nominee Carl Paladino has staked out a position as a candidate whose values and morals are informed by his Catholic faith.  In a speech he delivered to a group of supporters on Sunday October 10th, specifically discussing homosexuality, he said, “we must stop pandering to the pornographers and the perverts who seek to target our children and destroy their lives.”

Back in April, WNYMedia.net posted 8 emails received from an anonymous source – each of those emails was either obscene or racist, and the emails were forwarded by candidate Paladino to large numbers of prominent western New York businessmen and politicians. Now that morality, religion, and pornography have been introduced to the gubernatorial race by Mr. Paladino, WNYMedia.net is releasing more – previously unreleased – emails that Paladino has forwarded to his friends and colleagues.  These emails coincide with the unveiling of the Paladino Porn website. They are wildly NSFW. These include:

1. October 2009 email including a video of a young woman in pigtails engaging in sexual acts. Mr. Paladino wrote that the video is “awesome”.

2. August 2009 email entitled, “Russian Beauty” showing a woman masturbating and expressing breast milk onto a glass window and table.

3. October 2009 email depicting two young women engaging in lesbian sex.  Mr. Paladino wrote that the video is “awesome”.

4. November 2009 email featuring softcore porn images of a nude woman posing.  Mr. Paladino wrote that the images were for “andy, this is better”, apparently referencing an earlier email.

5. January 2010 email showing a woman receiving a bikini wax, entitled, “I found my retirement job! xxx”

6. November 2008 email including a video from “fistflush.com” of a woman engaging in sex acts with a bunch of bananas, entitled, “Chiquita Bananas…xxx careful”.

7. November 2008 email entitled, “squirter” depicting a male and female engaging in sex acts.

As with the emails revealed in April, we have confirmed the authenticity of these emails and are positive that Mr. Paladino forwarded them to others.  Like the earlier emails, these are degrading to, and objectify, women.

The voters of the state of New York – especially the alleged “values” voters who support Paladino because he purports to share their traditional, orthodox views on sexuality – should be perfectly clear about whom they’re supporting.

In criticizing the very idea of marriage equality, Paladino inserted “pornography” and “perverts” into that discussion.  The next day, he went to great lengths to defend his statements before ultimately, uncharacteristically apologizing for them and blaming the media.

As Paladino claims what a friend he is to the gay community, we remind you that he is also neither enemy nor stranger to pornography and perversion.

You cannot claim that gay marriage will cheapen or harm the institution of marriage if you, yourself, have carried on an affair and fathered a child out of wedlock.

You cannot claim that you are opposed to pornography when you email inbox and outbox is so jam-packed with it.

You cannot claim the moral high ground whilst crawling through the gutter.

Because of his hypocrisy, his phony morals, his poor judgment, and his willingness to separate, rather than unite New Yorkers of every color, creed, religion, ethnicity, and sexual identity, we don’t think that Carl Paladino deserves to be the Governor of the State of New York.

In the immortal words of Carl’s fellow Republican Newt Gingrich, explaining how “family values Republicans” can be such complete hypocrites, “It doesn’t matter what I do. People need to hear what I have to say. It doesn’t matter what I live.”

Sadly, I doubt the church goin’ crowd will give much of a shit.

  3. Robert October 13, 2010 at 7:32 pm #

Who cares. But since you do, you must have a Paladino fetish. I suppose Andrew Cuomo is perfect. Keep it up. All you’re doing is generating more support for Carl. Pencilnecks like you can’t grasp reality.

  4. Tom Dolina October 13, 2010 at 8:29 pm #

With all due respect to Alan, I don’t think he can be accused of having a pencil-neck, Robert. Get your insults right!

“Yet in the last few weeks since the primary, Paladino’s views, values, and platform have been subjected to unprecedented scrutiny by a hungry statewide media. As his campaign began to become beset by gaffe after threat, Paladino began to become something of a joke, and his native Buffalo something of a laughingstock. When your candidate’s a clown, what does it say about you when the clown wins 93 – 7?”

Yup, those idiots in Erie county who voted for him must be focused on stupid and irrelevant nonsense like jobs, economic development, crime, taxes, term limits, reforming the legislature, etc.  How myopic can they be to focus on those petty and narrow interests and miss the big picture issues like porno e-mails?

“Because of his hypocrisy, his phony morals, his poor judgment, and his willingness to separate, rather than unite New Yorkers of every color, creed, religion, ethnicity, and sexual identity, we don’t think that Carl Paladino deserves to be the Governor of the State of New York.”

This is absolutely true.  Listen, I am a forgiving person.  I can tolerate politicians who drive all our businesses out of the state.  I can forgive those who made me leave Rochester in search of a job.  I don’t care if politicians waste tens of billions of dollars each year buying off public sector workers, throwing money at wasteful and corrupt health care organizations, letting state legislature members do anything they want and never having to disclose conflicts of interest and on and on.

All that I can take.  But in this day and age that there is anyone in the United States of America who looks at pictures of naked women or women and/or men and/or animals having sex simply SHOCKS me; no it STUNS me; no it HORRIFIES me.  I really didn’t know pornography still existed in the U.S.

I really hope when Cuomo is elected that the first thing he and the Legislature do is pass a law to make sure all e-mail in the state of New York is screened so that this filth never again appears anywhere in our great state.  Forget financial disclosures, lets have full e-mail disclosure.  Sheldon Silver tabling legal reforms to help his undisclosed clients at his law firm I can take.  The notion of more of these disgusting pictures traveling in fiber optic cables around New York State I can’t.

Kudos to Alan for all his hard work on bringing these e-mails to light.  He has done a tremendous public service.  Ten years from now I may not live in New York State at all but I will always have immense gratitude that someone made the effort to keep this filth out of our great and esteemed capital.

It’s about hypocrisy and division. It’s about being a liar and a phony-values-candidate. It’s about being a champion smear artist while whining to mommy when a reporter asks a probing question. It’s about being completely unable to play nicely with others, and somehow expecting to be the chief executive of an entire state. It’s about establishing that maybe – just maybe – being “politically correct”, defined as “someone who thinks before he speaks” or “someone who “tells the truth”, is important after all.

Go ahead and vote for Carl, if you want. He’s toast and may do worse than Faso. And if God forbid he had ever won this election, guaranteed the state’s death spiral would only be hastened.

  6. Tom Dolina October 14, 2010 at 12:03 am #

Insult Fail! Robert, you can’t really call Alan a “pencil-neck”. So it seems it is YOUR perception of reality that is skewed…

    Wait, what’s this??!

  9. Hank October 14, 2010 at 10:02 am #

I suppose Alan could now change his sites name to “I despise Carl Paladino”. It has already become an “all Paladino, all the time” blog recently. And I’ve not read much about how Paladino’s platform is wrong and bad for the state. All I read are personal attacks about the man, not his platform.

    • Alan Bedenko October 14, 2010 at 11:09 am #

Bullshit, Hank. I’ve done plenty of posts criticizing specific platform planks that Paladino has put forth. I’ve written about how you’re not going to have any political capital or effectiveness in Albany by basically calling everyone who even mildly disagrees with you a whore or a criminal or a m-fer. You’ve “not read much about how Paladino’s platform is wrong and bad for the state” because you’ve chosen not to. It’s selective memory or selective reading – not sure which.

And yes – Carl Paladino’s platform is facile, almost impossible, sometimes unconstitutional, and completely ignores massive structural and procedural problems that could be implemented rather easily and have great impact if only there was the political will to do so. I don’t like voting for ignorant assholes who have made the entire campaign about their own personal anger – I’m not going to listen to whiny complaints about how the media is so mean to a guy whose entire campaign was based on a line from a satirical movie from the mid-70s, uttered by an insane and suicidal character therein.

Whatever you have to say about Cuomo – and neither he nor his platform are perfect – he has comported himself quite well as Attorney General, and has issued a 200 page book representing specific ideas and proposals for fundamentally changing Albany. He also hasn’t gone around moralizing to people, denigrating people, dividing New Yorkers based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, geography, or otherwise. Cuomo has mounted a dignified, professional political campaign, which explains why he continues to trounce the whiny loudmouth bullshit artist and hypocrite from Buffalo.

      Hope that helps.

  13. BobbyCat October 15, 2010 at 8:16 am #

I don’t expect any candidate to be perfect. We all have character flaws. But I do expect any candidate for governor to have more good qualities than bad. This election cycle has brought out more high profile nut case candidates than any time in memory.

When I was a child and learned about the evils of the Axis powers, I couldn’t understand why the people of Germany would support a ruthless, maniacal killer like Adolf Hitler, why Italians would tolerate a brutal dictator like Mussolini or why Russians would rally behind Stalin, who killed thousands of his own countrymen. My friends of German,Italian or Russian ancestry were good people. Had those people across the ocean lost their minds? How could entire societies be engulfed by such hatred? Where did it come from?

I see Carl Paladino as a man overflowing with resentment and hatred. Many of the people I grew up with were like him. Many were men of small stature who suffered from small man syndrome They attempted to compensated for their size by acting and talking tough. Their currency was hate speech. They bullied some and threatened others. They tended to be racists, liars, haters and hypocrites. The good news is that most of those young guys grew-up and matured into honorable men of good character. But unfortunately, some didn’t. They’re still trading N-jokes and homo jokes, still denigrating women, still talking tough – even though most of them couldn’t sprint 100yards to save their lives.

Paladino speaks for an entire sub-culture of haters and low information voters who blame ‘those people’ for our problems. Paladino’s baseball bat is a methaphor for the anger within them. They want to strike-out at someone. Heil Paladino !

When I was a kid I didn’t understand how leaders so full of hatred could come to power. But as an adult, I learned. It’s a nightmare to think it could happen again.

  14. Bbill October 15, 2010 at 8:53 am #

so mean to a guy whose entire campaign was based on a line from a satirical movie from the mid-70s

Satirical and, in hindsight, extremely prescient! What would Paddy Chayefsky make of Fox “News” and hate radio in this day and age? What was satire then has become quaint understatement today.

  15. Brian Wood October 15, 2010 at 12:39 pm #

Paladino’s the kinda Goomba who’d wear white after Labor Day. I mean, really, now…

And what is your point? The sooner the better. You enjoy over spending, high taxation and the bullshit that goes on in Albany? You approve of NYS/WNY children’s future being spent away in Albany? Just a yes or no Alan.

It’s all about spending, taxes and jobs. Not which horse someone is screwing or what someone finds funny that 1,000,000’s of people forward everyday on the internet. It’s not even about if someone’s opinion on gay marriage is important. It’s about spending, taxes and jobs.

    “It’s about hypocrisy”

If you nailed the horse lover/porn lover who has been collecting those emails for his enjoyment before deciding to use them to “politically” hurt someone it would be different.

    “It’s about hypocrisy”

So Alan, did another elected official hand you over the emails they have been enjoying all these years until it was politically “valuable” to smear Carl?

    “It’s about hypocrisy”

Did you go through the email addy’s and see if any other elected official was on that list? If you can’t elect someone for forwarding those emails you certainly can’t have one already in office or someone working for us. Or do you turn a blind eye if they are a democrat…

    • Alan Bedenko October 15, 2010 at 8:23 pm #

      @WNYResident:

And what is your point? The sooner the better. You enjoy over spending, high taxation and the bullshit that goes on in Albany? You approve of NYS/WNY children’s future being spent away in Albany? Just a yes or no Alan.

Do you read this blog? Do you know my positions about things? Have you read Cuomo’s platform? Do you think I “enjoy over spending [sic]” or “the bullshit that goes on in Albany?” I’ve spent quite literally 5 fucking years writing about this shit on an almost daily basis. Figure out what I “enjoy” yourself.

It’s all about spending, taxes and jobs. Not which horse someone is screwing or what someone finds funny that 1,000,000’s of people forward everyday on the internet. It’s not even about if someone’s opinion on gay marriage is important. It’s about spending, taxes and jobs.

Then you should ask your candidate why he made the campaign a personal issue about his anger, and why he brought up his opponent’s values and fidelity. Cuomo didn’t make this about personalities. Paladino did. Also, gay marriage is quite important. Maybe not to you, but I’d wager that most gay people don’t think the unique problems of Cheektowaga print shop owners are important.

If you nailed the horse lover/porn lover who has been collecting those emails for his enjoyment before deciding to use them to “politically” hurt someone it would be different.

I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to say there.

So Alan, did another elected official hand you over the emails they have been enjoying all these years until it was politically “valuable” to smear Carl?

I think you have a reading comprehension issue. An anonymous source provided the emails. We’ve only written that and said it a dozen times.

Did you go through the email addy’s and see if any other elected official was on that list? If you can’t elect someone for forwarding those emails you certainly can’t have one already in office or someone working for us. Or do you turn a blind eye if they are a democrat…

Yes I looked through the “addy’s”. Seriously, can you not read?

Is this really news?? You people act like this is something new, good god are you not paying attention!!? DC is full of useless people, you either vote for him or you don’t get over it people. And besides isn’t he a Republican? Well there ya go. If he was a Dem I might vote for him, depends on his other issue’s but as far as doing bikini waxes retired or not, I am pretty sure most all the men would say “Hell ya!!” well except for the homo’s and what the hell was the comment about wearing white after labor day??? What kind of homo comment is that? Damn there are some really strange people out there. Much todo about nothing, what else is new.

WNYMEDIA’s obsession with off-color and sex-themed emails rivals the journalistic acumen of the National Enquirer.

Actually, @MikeinWNY, you should be more concerned with your candidate’s apparent obsession with fuck-videos, “Obama is a muslim” emails, and jokes about Obama being an African tribesman, or blacks being monkeys.

  25. ChiliChili October 15, 2010 at 6:22 pm #

I am an industrial chemist and I left upstate NY State 30 years ago, because the Democrats had pretty much taxed industry right out of it. I left family and friends, because cities like Albany/Troy/Schenectaday had turned into ghost towns. The only jobs worth having were State or Welfare. I like Texas! It’s very “live, and let live”, but, don’t cross the lines. And the lines are good lines, because I don’t want to move again. Carl Paladino is the first MAN to say the obvious about homosexuality: it is abnormal and hardly a subject worthy of national debate. Additionally, there is no bio-chemical evidence to support the theory that it is geneitc. matter of fact, the data is to the contrary: it is just a personal choice, and, as Carl Paladino states, a bad one, for the individual, as well as everyone else. We are all living in a free country: do what you want. But me, I am not moving again, not for welfare, or homosexuals. And I am tired of “gay pride” in the face. Nothing to be proud of. Get a life! Good luck NY, and Good Luck, Carl Paldino!

What the hell is happening when all these conservatives are obsessed with the myth of Obama being a Muslim. The worst part about the whole thing is that they don’t even seem to realize the f-ing ramifications of their statements.

These morons are admitting that they discriminate based upon religion!

My god if their church and my church aren’t condemning the shit out of them than I want out

Everyone needs to censure these nazis

  28. Brian Wood October 18, 2010 at 5:55 am #

The wearing white after labor day was a joke, joke. Like understatement. I mean, Paladino is a truly vicious, nasty, fascist jerk, and the worst I can say is he wears white after Labor Day? (Which, by the way, used to be an egregious social faux pas.)
