Is it “Fool’s” or “Fools'”? I’m going with the latter, because we’re not describing a particular fictional character called the April Fool, but a day when people play pranks on each other. So it’s plural. Right?
I have no patience, really, for practical jokes or April Fools’ Day. There are too many problems and issues that need to be addressed that such things are a complete distraction. Libya, poverty, corporatism, governmental inertia.
So, instead of playing silly tricks, I’d like you to watch this very serious video about what we should all be thinking about today.

Alan, usually I find myself agreeing with you. Today though, that video link you posted is bullshit. Completely, unabashedly biased. I can’t believe you’d stand behind something like that.
Here’s a Media monitoring correction to that whole story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0
That was cruel and unusual, Alan.
While you’re monkeying around with childish pranks, this very important story is going unreported. Shame!
I love you guys, for real!!! Today is my daughter’s Birthday…for real.
Eric that video was way more important than BP’s!! Shame on you BP for your silliness! My daughter said to me this morning “Mommy, the fly on your pants is down!” so I look down and it was fine and she yells “April Fool’s!!!” Too funny!!
You asshole. I was enraged by this after a reference to it during an 11:30 pm newscast caused me to inflict it on myself. I’d finally calmed down and banished this obscenity from my mind, only to have you callously disregard human decency by linking to it again. You are a sorry excuse for a human being.
“Ha!” – Chris Matthews
Dear Alan, In response to your serious video, I can only offer the following. It is now a bit dated, but the cause is righteous and the battle goes on:
