Hochul’s GOTV Begins

21 May

Today at 2:30 pm in Williamsville, United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and United States Congressman Brian Higgins will be campaigning with Erie County Clerk and candidate for US Congress from NY-26, Kathy Hochul.

Yesterday, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo – one of the most popular politicians in New York State – endorsed Hochul.

Also, if you’re lucky, you might catch Bowser from Sha-na-na campaigning for Hochul. (Bowser, who is only slightly less culturally relevant to contemporary Americans than Pat Boone. Also, Boone hasn’t actually deigned to come here to campaign for Corwin.)

The Siena poll just released (today. May 21. Ward.) has different numbers than the April 29 poll. How ’bout that.

Looking at the picture here, one can probably draw parallels with the teabagger movement and the late, unlamented XFL — both aimed for the lowest common denominator (to say the least), and both offered a substandard product (to say the least) which the “invisible hand of the market” rejected once it got an idea what exactly was being offered. The lawn chair stalwarts in the picture resemble some of the XFL crowds in the final weeks.

The Kochs may have to pour even more money into the propaganda effort. People aren’t buying.

That picture is hilarious. The Siena poll has Davis at 12%, comparable to the 10% that Dave DiPietro got last year. So yeah, people really don’t like tea-baggers.

Much closer than I expected. Kathy is in the lead though. Its all going to come down to GOTV. And Jack Davis’s poll was not legitimate. Imagine that.

Cuomo’s ad is hilarious. Hochul will cut wasteful spending while preserving wasteful programs. Hochul will protect Medicare, a broken program that is breaking the bank. Yeah, that was convincing.

Pundit, did you notice at the rally when Higgins arrived late and went up on stage, that he kept looking at the microphone–? There was a moment or two that he could hardly take his eyes off it, like it was drawing him…
